British cattle breeds, one hundred per cent grass-fed, raised on Elston’s pasture and on West Country farms we know by name.
Elston runs native British breeds on permanent pasture — no grain-feeding, no shortcuts, alongside the red deer in a landscape being rebuilt around them. As the silvopasture alleys mature, the herd will summer among the trees: shade in the heat, shelter in the wet, and a richer sward beneath.
Beyond the farm gate, the butchery draws slow-grown, grass-fed cattle from a network of West Country farms — the same standard, the same soil-first thinking, chosen farmer by farmer.
Elston is a registered member of the Pasture-Fed Livestock Association — the body behind the Pasture for Life standard for one hundred per cent pasture-fed meat. No grain, ever. Just grass, and the time it takes.

Every animal is cut by the family butchery at the farm — dry-aged properly, butchered to specification, and delivered on our own vehicles across the South West. One supplier, one standard, from a herd you could come and stand in.
